Faits et Gestes has been producing and organising cultural and literary events in France and abroad ever since it was founded in Paris in October 2003. The company is renowned for its ability to stage large-scale national and international events, working on behalf of associations, major public institutions, and private companies.

Faits et Gestes is a stalwart of the Étonnants Voyageurs book and film festival, where the company’s founders began their careers. The company collaborates in programme planning, organisation, production and communications for numerous large-scale festivals, including: AMERICA in Vincennes (celebrating North American literature and culture), the Le Goût des Autres festival in Le Havre, the Salon du Roman Historique historical novel fair in Levallois and, since its inception, the Marathon des Mots international literary festival in Toulouse.

Faits et Gestes has helped give fresh impetus to the Foire du Livre de Brive book fair by working alongside municipal teams from Brive to revive its programme and by gathering key figures from French publishing together around this “institution”.

Faits et Gestes has been providing support since 2009 to Michel-Édouard Leclerc and the Espaces Culturels E.Leclerc to develop the major retailer's cultural aims, handling the organisation and communications for the Prix Landerneau book awards, and programme planning for the Culturissimo festival, consisting of around 75 literary and musical events throughout France.
