The AMERICA festival, the initiative of the bookseller and publisher Francis Geffard, brings together the cream of American literature every other year in Vincennes. Right from its inception, the festival has firmly established itself as the place to launch the start of the North American new publishing season in France, welcoming the biggest names, such as Margaret Atwood, Toni Morrison, Bret Easton Ellis and James Ellroy, primarily from the USA and Canada.
